Cannabinoids feel good. And so does sex. We won't beat around the bush here, so make sure if you’re at work to bookmark this for a later reading.
Sex. Cannabis. Both of which were once uncomfortable subjects to talk about, now, we can't escape. The word on the street is that they’re synonymous since scientists are finding endocannabinoids highly active in our state of arousal and responsible for the rush of delight we feel when we’re active. I’ll save you the lecture on Kamasutra and go right into the many cannabis benefits found in bed:
Sex does too, though cannabis, especially strains high in THC, has a strong euphoric effect. You know that feeling when you’re really hot and beads of sweat collect on the surface of your skin when, all of a sudden, an icy cool breeze lightly brushes up against you sending a tingly shiver down your spine? It’s like that. Heightened sensitivity means you’ll be more in tune with your sense of touch and feel more pleasure. A sensual choice made by many women, myself included, is the hybrid Cherry Pie, a strain that is noted for its light indica high and full-body relief. It relays just a hint of the seductive taste of cherries and offers a warm head high that enhances playful imagery, which is especially helpful if you intend to go solo.
Again, talking about cannabis here. Like your typical lubricating liquor choice on date night, pre-sleepover invite, cannabis breaks down inhibitions and promotes a more playful side. Often, a big concern with THC is the paranoia side-effect. THC does have this aspect but it’s typically amplified in an uncomfortable situation. If you and your partner are already solid, THC won’t break that down – it will just ease you into a silly state. If you’re with a new partner or have high anxiety, there are two things you can try.
One is microdosing. You don’t need to be stoned to feel arousing effects. More cannabis causes more sensitivity up to a point, but more is not necessarily better. Since the endocannabinoid system actually aids female sexual arousal, adding an additional dose, no matter how small, will make all the more difference. A creative and energizing high comes from the GSC cartridge, a balance of OG Kush and Durban Poison. The effects of Durban Poison are known to lift spirits and elevate brain cognition and OG Kush has the indica dominance that induces more of those classic giggly fits.
The second is CBD. CBD is non-psychoactive which means you don’t feel intoxicated but feel much more relaxed. ACDC is a great strain to get started with since it is an 18:1 ratio of CBD to THC. Break down barriers of the outside world when you are barricaded in the bedroom and get goofy with each other!
Stress and sex don’t fit together well like you and your partner surely do. Stress tenses our bodies and can cause our sense of touch to numb. Stress-hormones clog the brain causing the mind to wander, which means you won’t be soaking up the present and indulging in the now. Those are all the things I want to avoid when tangled between the sheets. Relax me, please! A beneficial hybrid blend to do the trick would combine the energizing effects in sativa with the sensitivity effects of an indica. Gorilla Glue has the perfect cannabinoid profile. Though the CBD profile is low, this strain keeps you cool under pressure and goes straight to the brain. It often induces a dazed feeling that deletes the junk floating inside your head and calms your hyperactive mind. Inhale. Exhale. Leave your stress at the door and your tranquility in the bed.
